West Coast Wolf

I’ve been meaning to write up a whole post with pictures and all of how things have been going for me during the COVID-19 crisis, but I don’t think that’s going to happen at this point so here’s a quick update instead.

San Francisco has issued a shelter-in-place order and the city has more or less shut down for the duration of the crisis. I’ve stocked up on lots of groceries and there’s some convenience stores nearby plus a farmers market on Sundays with lots of fresh produce.

I’m working from home, along with the rest of the company. One interesting thing we’ve been doing is using Donut Bot to arrange video calls between random people in the company, as a way of getting to know each other better and keep in touch since we don’t see each other in the office any more.

I’ve also been keeping myself busy with things around the house. Like a lot of other people, I’m taking the opportunity to do some baking. Here’s some three-ingredient* bagels that came out pretty well and worked great for making grilled cheese sandwiches.

* If you do what I did and accidentally buy self-rising flour instead of the regular kind.

A baking tray with four round doughy shapes on it, looking nicely browned.
